Putting a lot into the company

Daniel Netta is the second oldest employee at GID and GIP. Together with Isabel Gerwig, he witnessed the beginnings of the family business over 10 years ago, when Managing Director Mr. Henning took over the company. The newly qualified warehouse specialist was introduced to many responsible tasks by Mr. Hennig during the expansion of the new hall in Heinrich-Hertz-Straße.

“I put a lot into the company operation and have taught myself a lot.”

Daniel was one of the first to operate the machines in both Kassel and Eschwege with just four to five employees, which also included initial experience in the laboratory and recognizing different types of plastic. When the new machines for the innovative separation technology were purchased, Daniel was the person responsible for this process.

“I read up on everything and familiarized myself with how to program the machines and how they separate the regrinds by color and other characteristics using magnets.”

Really powered through – until it became too much

He was then operations manager at GIP in Kassel for 1 ½ years and really pushed himself to the limit. Until it became too much.

“It all became too much for me – I had to slow down.”

Daniel Netta speaks openly about his depression and the fact that he was also out of action for six months due to a knee injury. However, the management and the entire team stood behind him.

“Despite the problems, I received a lot of support, I wasn’t rejected by the company because I was on a cure.”

Everyone was delighted when Daniel returned. Especially the current Managing Director of GIP, Ms. Könneker, and Isabel Gerwig, the latter who, like Daniel, experienced the beginnings of the company. His 11th anniversary will be celebrated in 2025, as a substitute for the 10th anniversary, which he was unable to attend.

Colleagues you can rely on

Christian Kupfer is now operations manager and Daniel is his deputy. Does he mind? “No, we get on well, and we’ve got a really good team together now, with Noori and the others. It’s good to have a deputy; people you can rely on, it takes the pressure off.” Daniel enjoys his work. “I feel at home here. I know my way around here.” Even if things don’t always run smoothly:

“We find a solution for everything – somehow it always works and it goes on.”

Thank you Daniel!
