About Us

Our company

General Industries Polymere GmbH (GIP) was founded in 2017 as a subsidiary of General Industries Deutschland GmbH (GID), with a focus on NON-FOAM (non-foam) recycling and plastics trading. Although still relatively new, GIP is just as passionate about the recycling business and the circular economy as GID has been for 30 years.

Since 2023, we have been managing the two business divisions (Foam & Non-Foam) as independent companies. FOAM recycling continues to be managed by General-Industries Deutschland GmbH (GID) and NON-Foam recycling has been transferred to General-Industries Polymere GmbH (GIP).

GIP-way to Zero

GIP closes the loop

Our “GIP-way to zero”:
The film shows how General Industries Polymere contributes to the circular economy and climate neutrality with its work as a recycling and plastics operating company. We produce unmixed, color-sorted regrind from load carriers from the automotive industry and logistics, as well as plastic waste from production. A recyclate that can be further processed: a secondary raw material that conserves our planet’s resources.

Every hard-working hand counts. From our production employees who grind the crates and load the machines to the truck driver, the administrative staff for the handover or the employee in the laboratory.

The film clearly shows our focus on non-foam recycling. Modern machines for stationary shredding, innovative separation technology, container cleaning and mobile shredding systems are all part of GIP-ways’ diversity.
We are already entering the Green Deal – why wait for 2030? Are you also ready for the GIP-way?

Make a change

Together

Mahlgut Hände

For us plastic recycling is not a job, but a mission to which we are committed as a family business. That’s why we not only grind and granulate plastics, but have also been involved in the separation of difficult-to-recycle composite materials (multi-component parts) for several years and are continually developing this further.

This is the only way we can use the valuable raw materials in new products in the plastics processing industry for as long as possible. For us, sustainability is not a word that we just commit ourselves to, we live it every day. So it is only natural for us to rely 100% on the use of renewable energies – both in administration and production.

GIP-way to zero

Our specialty is pure and perfectly colour-sorted regrind, and we produce up to 6,000 tons per year of a wide variety of plastic types and colors! Behind the non-foam material lies a lot of recyclable plastic diversity that contributes to meaningful added value in the circular economy. We are entering the Green Deal now – why wait for 2030?
We want to grow and continue to develop with our goals. We want to involve as many stakeholders as possible in our holistic approach – from customers, partners and buyers to every employee.
There are many ways to achieve these goals. GIP goes one of them.

Are you ready for the GIP-way?

NON-FOAM

Our focus is on non-foam recycling: this is recycling of production waste & logistics containers, stationary shredding, innovative separation technology, container cleaning, mobile shredding plants, marketing of regranulates (PCR/PIR).

We process a wide variety of production residues/waste into regrinds or regranulates. These include start-up lumps of all sizes, missing parts, punching waste and injection-molded parts with a focus on the automotive industry:

  • Tanks (HDPE EVOH)
  • Bumpers (PP EPDM with/without paint)
  • Interior (PC/ABS, ABS, PP TV, PP GF, PA 6/66)
  • Exterior (ASA, PP TV, PC/PET, TPE/TPV)
  • Powertrain (PA6/66)

LOAD CARRIERS/ REUSABLE CONTAINERS

We process load carriers/reusable containers according to color and material into high-quality regrind. These include containers, pallets, trays, GLTs and much more with a focus on the

  • Boxes/ KLTs (PP, PE)
  • Trays/ thermoforming sheets (ABS, PC, PS, PS-LF, HDPE)
  • GLTs/ hinged boxes (HDPE, PP, PP TV)
  • BUTTON Our Services

Our company is certified as a waste management company and many more certificates will follow!
