The idea of a reusable pizza box meets the pulse of time and was created by the Covid19 pandemic. The consumption and therefore the waste of disposable pizza packaging has increased enormously and the pizza in a conventional disposable cardboard pizza box gets cold relatively quickly. This is precisely where General Industries Germany (GID) came in. “With rezzeat, we want to establish a digital and deposit-free reusable pool system that offers all customers of pizza services an innovative and environmentally friendly alternative to classic disposable cartons,” explains Matthias Henning, Managing Director of GID.
While many disposable packages have already been replaced by reusable alternatives, there has hardly been a suitable solution to the classic pizza carton. With the founding of rezzeat, a smart and innovative reusable pool system made of recyclable plastic packaging is to be established. The company concept aims to offer a cost-neutral and sustainable alternative to classic disposable pizza boxes and to counteract the associated packaging waste.
